Sleep Alone image Sleep Alone
Babies should NEVER sleep in a bed with anyone.

Babies should ALWAYS sleep on their backs for every sleep.
Empty Crib image Empty Crib
Blankets, comforters, pillows, stuffed animals, wedges, positioners, bumper pads or other soft padded materials or toys must NEVER be placed in the crib or pack n play with the baby. Babies should sleep alone in a crib or pack n play on a firm mattress with a clean fitted sheet.
No Blankets image No Blankets
No blankets should be in bed with your baby. On cold nights, and during colder seasons, put your baby in warmer, form fitting clothes like footed one-piece pajamas or a sleep sack.
Safe Crib Slats image Safe Crib Slats
A SAFE SLEEP crib means there should be no more than 2 3/8 inches between slats (you should NOT be able to fit a soda can between the slats.)
Safe Crib Installation image Safe Crib Installation
Make sure your baby's crib and/or pack n play is built properly. Follow installation instructions closely and make sure the crib and/or pack n play is approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

A SAFE SLEEP crib should not corner posts over 1/16 inch high.
Smoke-Free image Smoke-Free
Keep babies environment SMOKE-FREE.
No Toys image No Toys
There should be no toys in crib with baby.
