What is Family SHADE?
Family SHADE stands for the Family Support and Healthcare Alliance Delaware. It is an alliance of organizations, agencies, and families committed to working together. Family SHADE has one goal: to improve the quality of life for children with special health care needs and their families. Whether parents, caregivers, or those who provide support services for children are looking for a provider or a program, Family SHADE has it.

An organization that works to inform, educate, and advocate to improve outcomes for children with disabilities, providing information, individual assistance, and training to parents.
Delaware Family Voices
A nonprofit organization offering help and information from parents whose children have been diagnosed with a disability.
Children with Special Health Care Needs
Delaware’s Office of Children with Special Health Care Needs works to improve the well-being of children with special health needs.
Delaware Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC)
An organization that addresses unmet needs of people with developmental disabilities through advocacy, planning, and demonstration projects.
Delaware's American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
This is a link to Delaware’s American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) page. Any first time user will have to register but it targets Physicians so they could take webinars and learn about any updated early childhood efforts happening in the state.
