I was making some follow-up calls. We just check to see if the caller was able to get assistance with their need — or in the case of home visiting, to make sure they have spoken with the program and to see how it’s going. I received two great follow-ups this morning that I would like to share:

A mother and her newborn son were referred to Healthy Families Delaware Kent/Sussex County a month ago. The mom told me that home visiting is going very well. They mostly talk on the phone. Lisa from Healthy Families Delaware dropped off some items to her, and she was so appreciative!

A mother and her newborn daughter were also referred to Healthy Families Delaware Kent/Sussex County, at the end of October. The mother said that it was going very smoothly and she had already spoken with her parent educator three times.

Both first-time moms are getting resources and support!
