About the Summit Planning Committee
The focus is to plan, carry out, and assemble a full day conference to present the latest maternal and child health research-based data, promising approaches and best practices to improve the health and well being of women of childbearing age, birthing people, address health disparities and improve birth outcomes in Delaware. This data is presented at an annual Delaware Healthy Mother and Infant Consortium (DHMIC) Summit. This group is made possible by the collaborative partnerships between the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) staff, DHMIC stakeholders and a variety of community based partners such as nurses, social workers, physicians, health policy advocates, community based advocates and other qualifying supporting organization staff with varied backgrounds and lived experiences. Coordination efforts of the annual DHMIC Summit are made possible with the assistance of the DPH's marketing vendor.
