Through the Holiday Assistance Program, Westside Family Healthcare provided items to patients in New Castle County and Sussex County who were experiencing food insecurity and had children ages 5 and under. These families received a holiday food bag to help them enjoy a holiday meal with their loved ones. In addition, families who expressed additional needs were provided with items such as baby food, diapers, and wipes.

Some families served were Westside patients, while others were referred through Home Visiting Programs. This program was open to the community, and we hope to be able to offer it again in the future.

We are also excited to introduce Ruth Saintil, a recent graduate of Delaware State University, who has joined Westside Family Healthcare as our newest Home Visiting Community Health Worker in our Dover offices. Ruth is a certified Community Health Worker who has experience communicating in Haitian Creole. She is a wonderful addition to our team, and we look forward to the impact she will make in our community.
