Spotlighting Shakeena Wilson as Home Visiting Champion!

The Home Visiting Community Health Worker Program would like to recognize their Home Visiting Champion, Shakeena Wilson. Shakeena has been with the program for nearly three years and has played a crucial role in building connections within the community, fostering partnerships, and supporting clients referred by our home visitors. She prioritizes helping families understand the benefits of having a home visitor and creating a comfortable environment for them to openly share their needs as they arise. Her compassion for helping others has made a positive impression on her team as well as the community they serve, and her colleagues greatly appreciate her contributions to the team. For a period, Shakeena was the only CHW, and her dedication to the program has not gone unnoticed. The team couldn’t have asked for a better CHW and truly values her for all the exceptional work she does. This is a small gesture of appreciation to thank Shakeena for being such an invaluable part of the home visiting team.
