Prevent Child Abuse Delaware (PCAD) is thrilled to announce Asaiah Beaman Fisher will be the new Statewide Home Visitor Wrap-Around Training Coordinator. Fisher succeeds long-term contractor Janet Umble, who is retiring after over a decade of dedicated service.
Fisher brings over 20 years of experience in community engagement and early childhood education, plus a B.A. in Early Care and Education from Wilmington University. Her earlier roles include Home Visiting Outreach Coordinator and Family Support Specialist with Children and Families First, and Program Officer with Healthy Communities Delaware. In these roles, she effectively connected families to essential services, building impactful relationships and ensuring comprehensive support.
As the new coordinator, Fisher will oversee training for over 100 Delaware family support professionals, conduct annual surveys, and report training needs based on the National Competency Framework for Family Support Professionals.
“Asaiah is a dedicated professional committed to building stronger families through compassionate partnerships with parents and caregivers,” said PCAD Executive Director Claudine Wiant, JD. “Her experience in community-based programs and curriculum development makes her an ideal leader in family support and advocacy.”
“I am thrilled to join Prevent Child Abuse Delaware,” said Fisher. “My passion for servant leadership and dedication to nurturing our communities aligns perfectly with this role. I look forward to empowering others through education and collaboration.”
