In April, our NCC nurses represented the Nurse-Family Partnership and attended two community events. The first event, on April 15, was the Delaware First Health Baby Shower. Our nurses, not pictured, Agnes Kimani and Sara Rey-Gonzalez, attended this wonderful event and were able to obtain a referral who has recently enrolled in NFP.
The second event took place on April 17 at the ChristianaCare Women’s Health Fair. Pictured are our nurses Brazil Yates and Erin Gaertner, who were able to share information about our program and obtain referrals. This collaboration with the ChristianaCare Community Health Workers helped us successfully enroll another first-time mom.
Both events were described as positive and successful. The Nurse-Family Partnership is always eager to attend community events and connect with first-time moms. We look forward to more opportunities throughout the state.
