As we get into spring and summer, the MIECHV team will be carrying out multiple initiatives to improve data collection and reporting. In particular, the MIECHV team will be working with each local implementing agency (LIA) on quality assurance — that is, identifying what demographic, service utilization, and performance measures have considerable missing data and working with each LIA to uncover this missing data.
The MIECHV team will also continue to help the LIAs on their chosen continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives. For PAT NCC, this will involve improving reported visit frequencies; at PAT Polytech, this will involve reducing no-show rates; at PAT DECC, this will involve engagement and retention; and at CFF/HFA comprehensively, this will involve service-level progression and successful early completion.
In addition, the MIECHV team will be completing a 2025 needs assessment relevant to home visiting programming. This analysis, which is conducted every five years, will be conducted in conjunction with the Title V MCH Block Grant Needs Assessment. The MIECHV team will contact pertinent stakeholders for their valued input on this project.
As always, all home visiting stakeholders should feel free to contact us if they have any data-related questions or issues. We look forward to strengthening our data-reporting plans now and into the future.
