Midyear Review Strengthens MIECHV Performance Strategy

The State MIECHV team is continuing its routine Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts with Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Local Implementing Agencies (LIAs), now advancing into a mid–Fiscal Year 2026 assessment of performance measures across all participating LIAs. This structured review is designed to identify areas of strength and, more importantly, pinpoint performance measures that require targeted improvement and enhanced quality assurance.

Through this midyear assessment, the State MIECHV team aims to generate actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making. By closely examining performance trends, the team can prioritize technical assistance, refine implementation strategies, and ensure alignment with federal benchmarks and state-level goals. This process reinforces accountability while also promoting consistency in service delivery across LIAs.

The State MIECHV team is also developing an outreach proposal focused on evaluating the reach of MIECHV services within underserved communities. This effort will assess whether families in high-need areas are being effectively engaged and enrolled. If gaps are identified, the team will outline strategic approaches to improve access, reduce disparities, and strengthen community-based referral pathways. The goal is to ensure equitable service distribution and maximize program impact for populations that may benefit most.

This combined approach — performance assessment alongside targeted outreach planning — positions the program to not only improve outcomes but also expand its reach in meaningful ways. It reflects a commitment to continuous learning, equity, and measurable impact.

Call to Action: The State MIECHV team encourages stakeholders, partners, and LIAs to actively engage in the assessment process, review their performance data, and contribute insights that can inform the outreach strategy. Collaboration at this stage is critical to ensuring that improvement efforts are both responsive and effective.
