As Delaware’s home visiting workforce continues to grow and adapt, so does the need for timely, relevant, and energizing professional development. Prevent Child Abuse Delaware (PCAD) is proud to roll out an exciting slate of upcoming training opportunities to support home visitors and family support professionals through the rest of 2025. Upcoming events include something for every learner:
August/September: Promoting Safe and Healthy Homes
Sept. 23: Mental Health First Aid (full-day certification event)
October: DV/IPV Workshop—an in-person event with guest speaker Doritha Skinner
November/December: Supporting Parent-to-Child Interaction
If you can’t fit longer training into your busy schedule, no worries. Looking to recharge without the pressure? The Fuel Up & Check-In series is there to help you recharge without the pressure. This webinar takes place on the last Friday of each month with themes like “Fueling with Intention,” “Fueling Through Change,” and “Fueling with Gratitude.” These 30-minute Zoom sessions offer a quick boost of encouragement, reflection, and connection designed specifically for the busy home visiting professional.
PCAD’s trainings are intentionally crafted to be interactive, impactful, and inclusive. Whether participants are looking to strengthen skills, build resilience, or simply find community, these sessions are a meaningful investment in both professional growth and personal well-being.
