Home Visiting Community Advisory Board (HVCAB) Celebrates National Home Visiting Week
In honor of National Home Visiting Week, the Home Visiting Community Advisory Board (HVCAB) recognized outstanding professionals for their commitment to serving families.

Superlatives awarded by Kelly Ensslin, Esq., child advocate and HVCAB chair, highlighted the vital role home visiting professionals play in supporting healthy families, promoting child development, and strengthening communities. Core Competency Superlative Awards were presented to Belineda Jones (Healthy Families Delaware), Corsica Jones (Christina School District Parents as Teachers), Kesha Alston-Shields (Nurse-Family Partnership), Marisol Martinez (DECC Parents as Teachers), Sydney Ballenger (ABC), Tammy Broomall (Polytech Parents as Teachers), and Valerie Jolicoeur (New Directions Early Head Start).
Each honoree demonstrated excellence in key areas such as building trusting relationships, providing culturally responsive care, supporting parent-child interactions, and connecting families with essential resources. Their accomplishments reflect strong knowledge and effective application of the National Family Support Core Competencies framework.

This celebration not only recognized individual achievements but also reinforced the collective impact of home visiting services. HVCAB extends sincere congratulations to all awardees and gratitude to the entire home visiting workforce for their continued dedication to strengthening families and communities.
