HFD Welcomes New Family Support Specialists

We’re excited to welcome three new Family Support Specialists who recently joined Healthy Families Delaware (HFD). Please see their bios below to learn more about their experience and the passion they bring to our team.

Sandra “Sandy” Wyatt

Sandra “Sandy” Wyatt joined Healthy Families Delaware on October 27, 2025, bringing over 20 years of experience in early-childhood education and work in a nutrition program. Sandy worked at Children & Families First (CFF) since 2007, supporting childcare providers in delivering nutritious meals through training and technical assistance. Her earlier work before coming to CFF focused on family engagement, as well as on mentoring staff to promote child development.

Guirlande Lima

Guirlande Lima joined Healthy Families Delaware on November 10, 2025, bringing a strong background in family support and early-childhood services. Since 2021, she has provided nutritional counseling, health education, and resource referrals. Her previous experience includes home visiting and early-childhood education, where she built trusted relationships with families, as well as promoted child development and early- learning strategies. Guirlande is also a certified Doula and speaks Haitian Creole, further enhancing her ability to support diverse families.

Karen Santana joined Healthy Families Delaware on November 10, 2025 and has a well-established background in supporting children and families through education, engagement, and community collaboration. Her work has focused on helping programs achieve positive outcomes by connecting families with essential resources and fostering meaningful family involvement. Karen also enhances her outreach by speaking Spanish, allowing her to better serve diverse communities.
