In the past few issues of Thrive Quarterly, we have spotlighted individual champions from different programs. For this first issue of 2026, the DPH Home Visiting Team would like to shine the spotlight and give a huge thank you to each and every one of you within ALL of our amazing programs.

Your dedication to the families of Delaware does not go unnoticed. Every month, we review monthly reports submitted by each program, which share the success stories of the families they see. We feel lucky to get to read the beautiful, heartwarming stories of the Family Support Specialists and Home Visiting Community Health Workers who go to great lengths to ensure families in need are supported. It always brings smiles to our faces and a feeling of gratefulness that we are able to fund these programs that do so much for the families in these high-risk, high-stress communities.

Our world is full of so many challenges that can cause a family to feel lost and scared. And since many are facing uncertainty and the worries of whether they will have the resources they need to sustain their families, the support of a Family Support Specialist can be life changing. We work diligently to spread the word about this amazing program and the real heroes who are there every day working so hard to ensure families have everything they need to not only survive but also thrive in this ever-changing world.
