Healthy Families Delaware Celebrates Family Achievements and Honors Champions

Paula StrattonFamily Accomplishments: Paula Stratton, Parent Support Specialist

During a visit, a parent asked when to change her baby’s car seat, mentioning that her baby was getting heavy in the infant carrier. I provided information on recommendations based on age and weight, and I gave her the Car Seats for Kids form. We set a goal for her to get a new car seat. She contacted the DMV, scheduled an appointment, attended the training, and received a free car seat.

Champion Shoutout: Desiree Lesane and Lea Attarian

A Home Visitor with Healthy Families Delaware (HFD) recently received a call from a parent in urgent need of diapers and wipes. Despite the hot summer sun, the parent walked to a local diaper bank, only to find it closed. Our team member Desiree sent out an alert, and Lea responded. Together, these Parent Support Specialists ensured the parent received support.

This teamwork exemplifies what makes the HFD team great. We are committed to each other and the families we support.

Great job, Desiree and Lea. Keep up the good work!
