Delaware Early Childhood Center Celebrates Home Visitors and Families

Over the past few months, DECC home visitors have been busy in the community! In March, the Laurel Stay and Play opened at the Laurel Library and continues to grow with each group. We are thrilled with the new partnership and the exciting events to come.

DECC PAT recently received a grant from the Sussex County Health Coalition to support the expansion of groups into community health centers and to provide community developmental screenings and nutrition education in our groups through August. In April, we celebrated all the home visitors with a Walk of Fame at our office, as well as daily treats to recognize them and all their hard work. Families welcomed us into their homes to see all the wonderful connections made with their home visitors as well. As we move toward June, plans are in the works for a graduation for families moving to kindergarten in the fall and a Sensory Saturday event in Laurel in June.
