Celebrating National Home Visiting Week in Delaware
By Emily A. Thompson

Professionals from across the Home Visiting Workforce gathered at Legislative Hall on Thursday April 17, 2025.
Gov. Matt Meyer has officially declared April 21–25 as National Home Visiting Week in Delaware, recognizing the incredible work of home visitors and the life-changing impact they have on families.
Home visiting programs provide essential support to families — from pregnancy through kindergarten — offering guidance on health, development, parenting, and so much more. In 2024, Delaware’s home visiting programs reached over 1,400 families and completed more than 13,000 visits, including 3,000 virtual ones.
This proclamation honors the dedication, compassion, and professionalism of home visitors across our state. Your work strengthens families, builds healthier communities, and helps every child get the best start in life.
Thank you for all that you do!
