MIECHV 2025 logoCrystal Sherman, Chief of the Maternal Child Health Bureau, and Emily A. Thompson, Home Visiting Program Administrator, attended the 2025 MIECHV All-Grantee Meeting held November 17 – 20, 2025.

This year’s theme, “MIECHV in an Era of Expansion — Reaching More Communities,” focused on supporting nationwide growth in evidence-based home visiting services. The meeting created valuable space for the MIECHV community to exchange information and best practices to guide service expansion, strengthen the home visiting workforce, promote high-quality implementation, and highlight home visiting’s role in preventing childhood chronic disease and improving health across the lifespan.

The Delaware DPH Home Visiting Team was also represented by data evaluator Vik Vishnubhakta, MPH, MBA, who served as a panelist for the session titled “Expanding Reach and Strengthening Systems: Innovations in Care Coordination for Home Visiting.” During this discussion, panelists explored strategies to enhance referral systems and expand access to care. Presenters described cross-sector approaches using various platforms and emphasized how strong care coordination can support reach, sustainability, and system-wide impact within home visiting programs.

Delaware’s engagement in this national meeting highlights the state’s continued commitment to advancing home visiting services and ensuring families receive high-quality, coordinated support.
