MIECHV Update

The Delaware MIECHV-funded home visiting program, which comprises CFF/HFA and several of the PAT sites, has been continually working on improving breastfeeding and safe sleep behaviors as well as maintaining success on the other federally mandated services. Within the next few months, we will be placing greater emphasis on how we can strengthen these two benchmarks, as well as others, through a health equity lens. In particular, we will start analyzing program data to identify key health disparities and the root causes of inequity. It is anticipated that these efforts will help mitigate systemic barriers as the home visiting programs seek to expand their enrollment and/or ensure that their clients are being appropriately served. Overall, we are pleased to see the MIECHV program continue to serve families throughout the state and appreciate the work of everyone involved in building and maintaining its success!
