HOME VISITING: Helping Families “Baby Proof” Their House

Share:

During pregnancy is a good time to start thinking about if your home is a safe environment for your baby. If you are not sure where to start….

A home visitor can help you create a safe environment for you and your newborn by enrolling in the free Home Visiting program.  The home visitor can set an appointment that is best for you, walk through where you live, and help you to see what needs to be adjusted to make sure your home is safe for your baby.HV - You're ready for Your New Baby, but is Your House

In the past, home visiting specialists have helped many new families get their homes ready by:

  • Removing the loose paint chips.
  • Helping pick out new smoke detectors.
  • Helping pick out safe window guards.
  • And much more to make sure your home is safe.

If you want someone to make sure your house is baby ready, Home Visiting specialists are ready to help you. For more information on Home Visiting and to learn how to enroll, call the Help Me Grow 2-1-1 line, or send Help Me Grow a text at: 302-231-1464.
