ABOUT THE 2017 ANNUAL SUMMIT PROGRAM

The title for this year’s Summit is Changing the Trajectory of the Next Generation. This title summarizes the spirit of the event, which includes notable keynote speakers:

  • Kay Johnson, a national expert addressing preconception care, social determinants of health, and health policy
  • Kathryn Hall-Trujillo, founder of the innovative program, The Birthing Project, which trains community volunteers to improve birth outcomes
  • Luke Shaefer, author of $2.00 a Day, which address the effect of poverty on health outcomes

Summit attendees will participate in dynamic keynote addresses, interactive breakout sessions, a Healthy Equity Awards lunch, an engaging exhibit hall and more. What does it take for a community to change the trajectory of its young people? Discover together at this year’s DHMIC Annual Summit.
