SAFE SLEEP: Dads on Nap-time Duty

Dads – parenting will not be easy but your involvement is extremely important! One of the best things you can do as a father is follow the safe sleep rules. No, this is not just any other house rule. These rules are important to follow. These rules are simple steps to lower the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). SIDS is the sudden death of an infant less than one year old that cannot be explained after medical examination. Alone, on the back, and in a crib with nothing but a fitted sheet will help reduce the risk of SIDS. Dad, if you are on nap time duty, here is what you need to remember:

Go ahead dads! Give yourself a pat on the back. You can now brag to your friends how you are a number one dad! You are a superhero by following all safe sleep rules. You have the ability to protect your little one from SIDS. There are still many other dads out there that are unaware of safe sleep.
