HOME VISITING: Working with Delaware families to provide the help they need!

Share:

Life as a new parent can sometimes be overwhelming. There is so much to learn and remember once your baby is born. The last thing you and your baby need is for you to feel stressed. One of the best ways for you to feel mentally and physically prepared to bring home baby, is to sign up for our Home Visiting program.

The Home Visiting program is designed for new families who are expecting, or have an infant at home. The specially trained nurses and parent support specialists will make you feel like you have your own personal baby assistant! A home visitor will work with you to find out where you need help. They can provide tips on breastfeeding, how to set up a safe sleep environment, how to stay healthy during your pregnancy or even help you go back to work or school after your baby is born. The main goal of this program is to help you and your child grow, learn and thrive.

Many parents worry that they won’t be able to afford this type of help or they don’t have a place to meet with a home visitor. That is never an issue. Home visiting is free program. The nurse or parent support specialist visits you when and where you want them to. Each visit lasts about an hour, and is all about helping you and your baby be happy and healthy. Many families in Delaware are already signed up for this program. Don’t miss out! Dial 2-1-1 Help Me Grow to learn more.
