HOME VISITING: What is in it for Mom?

Share:

HV - What's in it for MomBeing a parent is very rewarding, but it can also be very challenging. This stress can prevent you from being the best mother you can be. Home Visiting is here to help! Home Visiting enables a healthy pregnancy and continues to make sure you stay physically and mentally healthy.

As you begin to focus solely on your baby, Home Visiting staff are here to remind you that you still need to take care of yourself. A home visitor will check you and your baby’s health at every visit. Home Visiting has proven to reduce the risk of postpartum depression and reduce overall stress. The frequent visiting also minimizes the number of emergency room visits.  The home visitor is here to answer questions and create a safe and healthy environment for you and your baby. The visits are relaxed and meant to ensure that you and your baby are healthy and that you have the best information about early stages of development. Home Visiting also comes at no cost to you, only benefits.
