It’s Time to Recognize Delaware’s Health Equity Champions!
Everyone should have the same opportunity to live a long and healthy life. And, making sure that opportunity for health is open to all takes special work and special effort.
Do you know an individual or organization that is going the extra mile to promote health equity in Delaware? Maybe they are promoting a diverse and culturally competent workforce. Maybe they are working to eliminate disparities or inequities related to the health of women of child bearing age and infants.
The Health Equity Systems committee of the Delaware Healthy Mother and Infant Consortium (DHMIC) is now welcoming nominations for the 2014 Health Equity Awards. Nominations are open only through February 28, 2014-so please submit yours now!
Over the years, DHMIC has been working to ensure the best possible health and health outcomes for our state’s women of childbearing age and infants. This work has been inspired by many remarkable individuals as well as organizations who champion the cause of health equity.
Each year, we reach out to you to tell us about the people and organizations who are health equity champions in your community. Make sure they are recognized; nominate them for a Health Equity Award. It’s easy!
Just download the 2014 Health Equity Awards nomination form, fill it out and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration. Winners will be announced at this year’s DHMIC Annual Summit in April.
Any community member can nominate someone. Both individuals and organizations that have made a significant contribution in the promotion of a diverse and culturally competent healthcare workforce are eligible to receive a Health Equity Award. Nominations and award submission are completely free.
